How to Use the Same Beads of Your Bracelet to Make a Clasp thumbnail
You can make a clasp using a bead and elastic.

If you are making your own hand-strung jewelry, you do not need to purchase fancy clasps and closures in order to complete them. You can create a clasp using the same beads that you used to string the jewelry. For example, when making a bracelet with beautiful beads, you can make a clasp using one of the beads and the end of the elastic string you used to make the handmade bracelet.

Instructions

    • 1

Cut a length of elastic string to measure 7 inches long.

String beads onto the elastic, leaving about 1 inch unstrung.

    • 3

Knot another bead onto the end of the bracelet.

    • 4

Knot the other end of the bracelet into a loop that is small enough to hold the bead tightly inside of it.

    • 5

Insert the end bead into the loop to secure the bracelet onto your wrist like a clasp.
