How to Thread a White 1730 Sewing Machine
The White 1730 is from the company's Quilt and Sew sewing machine line. The 1730 model has an enclosed hard cover that can be used as an extension table when disassembled by sliding the cover into the slots on the free arm. The sewing machine has 17 different reprogrammed stitches besides the standard straight and zigzag, including feather, buttonhole and the blind stitch. The upper thread needs to be threaded properly before you can begin sewing. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Raise the presser foot and then turn the hand wheel toward you to raise the needle to its highest position.
-
2
Place a spool of thread on the spool pin and press all the way down to the spool pin base. Attach a spool pin cap that matches the size of the spool of thread to keep the thread in place when threading and sewing.

3
Pull the end of the thread and pass it through the top thread guide and then down to the take-up lever. Bring it back up to the left side of the guide plate in the front of the machine to the left thread guide.
-
4
Follow the thread down again to the needle bar and the thread guide at the bottom of the face cover. Pass the thread through the guide, going from right to left, at the top part and then to the bottom thread guide near the needle.

5
Thread the eye of the needle, going from front to back. If you will be using the automatic needle threader, pull down the automatic threader lever and hook the thread in place. Push the lever until the hooked end passes through the eye of the needle. Release the lever and pull the loop of thread through the needle eye toward the back of the machine.
