How to Clean Fostoria Glassware

Founded in 1886, the Fostoria Glass Company produced glassware until its closing in 1986. Fostoria glassware can be found in a wide variety of colors and textures, and is commonly used as tablewear. If your Fostoria glasswear becomes dirty, dull or cloudy, bring out its shine with white vinegar. The vinegar removes mineral buildup caused by hard water and rinses away residue, leaving your Fostoria glassware sparkling clean. Clean your Fostoria glassware regularly to keep it looking its best.

Things You'll Need

• Mild dish detergent
• Cloth
• Spray bottle
• White vinegar
• Towel

Instructions

1. Fill the sink with warm water and 2 tsp. mild dish detergent.

2. Wash one piece of glassware at a time in the sink with a cloth, wiping the cloth gently across both the inside and outside of the piece's surface.

3. Rinse the glassware with warm water to remove any soap residue.

4. Fill a spray bottle with white vinegar, and spray the wet glassware thoroughly with the vinegar.

5. Rinse the glassware with warm water to remove the vinegar.

6. Dry the glassware with a lint-free towel.
