Instructions

    • 1

Mark the location of the electric, cable, gas, water and sewer lines that are located under the ground with spray paint.

    • 2

Measure the length of the anchor with the tape measure. Dig a hole for the anchor to two-thirds this length by using the shovel or an auger.

    • 3

Insert the ground anchor into the hole and set it 5 to 6 inches from the side of the hole facing the mobile home. This will set the ground anchor at a 10- to 15-degree angle.

    • 4

Fill the hole back in with the dirt and tamp it down every 6 inches. Insert the stabilization plate over the anchor shaft. Drive the plate fully into the ground with the heavy hammer.

    • 5

Add the number of anchors that are required based on the local regulations for your area.

    • 6

Attach the tie down connector to a beam or bracket strap that is over a roof rafter.

    • 7

Insert a slotted bolt into the anchor head and tighten slightly with the wrench. Place the end of the tie down strap into the slot on the bolt. Turn the bolt with the wrench to wind and tension the strap.

    • 8

Attach and secure the remaining straps to the anchors.

Tips & Warnings

  • Install extra straps if needed to meet local codes or regulations for mobile homes in your area.
