How to Print From an iSeries to a Xerox 7400

The Xerox 7400 printer can turn your digital images and documents stored on your IBM ThinkPad iSeries hard drive into physical prints. Use the USB connection port on the Xerox 7400 to connect it to your Thinkpad iSeries computer. Once you've got your Xerox 7400 printer installed, you can start printing documents, photos, graphs and other digital files with just a few clicks of the mouse.

• Xerox Software CD

Instructions

1. Insert the Xerox 7400 software CD that came with the printer into the iSeries disc drive. Wait for the disc to be read by the drive and the Xerox Installation Wizard to open.

2. Click "Next" and select your hard drive to store the necessary files. Agree to the licensing terms and click "Install" to copy the software files and printer drivers to your computer.

3. Connect the USB cable from the printer to the iSeries and check that the "Xerox 7400" is enabled in the "Printer" field.

4. Open the document, webpage or picture you want to print. Click the "File" button on the menu and click "Print."

5. Click the "Print" button to send the document or photo the Xerox 7400 and begin the printing task.
