How to Transfer Vehicle Registration From Florida to Georgia


Georgia residents must register their vehicles within 30 days of establishing residency. Visitors, nonresident students and owners of certain exempt vehicles are not required to register their vehicles. Registration is done at your county's Tag Office. Before transferring registration from Florida, you will need to obtain a Georgia driver's license and submit your vehicle to an emissions inspection.
