How to get started in the Google AdWords Certification Program
The Google AdWords certification program offers companies and individuals the opportunity to exhibit their aptitude by becoming certified experts. Once the designation is obtained you can market yourself as a professional AdWords consultant who has received the stamp of approval from Google.
To help folks prepare for the certification exam Google has created an online learning center platform that covers all of the information in the assessments. The program is completely contained online and it is entirely free.

Go to the Google AdWords Certification Program home page. (See resources.)

Click on the "Join Program Button"

Sign in with an existing Google account or create a new one.

Fill out the required information.

Access the learning center. After registration you will gain access to the certification platform.

Study the materials. In the learning center you will find the study materials for four different courses. It is recommended that you start off will the Google Advertising Fundamentals exam because this is the prerequisite course that leads into the information contained in the other three selections.

Take the exams. You will be required to pass two exams in order to become certified. The first one that everyone must pass is the Google Advertising Fundamentals Exam. Then you will have a choice between one of the three following selections: Search Adverting Advanced Exam, Display Advertising Advanced Exam, or the Reporting & Analysis Advanced Exam.
