Watch ice skating competitions and flip through sporting magazines, looking for inspiration. Look at how professional dress makers arrange the crystals on the fabric. The crystals are often spaced around the dress, rather than placed in one specific area of the dress.

Lay the ice skating dress on a flat surface and arrange the crystals on the dress. Move the crystals around, getting an idea of what you like. Keep changing the placement of the crystals and adjusting the sizes and colors, until you have a look that you like.

Dip a cotton swab into the bottle of fabric glue or, place a small drop of glue on the end of the cotton swab. Moving from the bottom of the dress, use tweezers to slowly pick up a crystal from the dress.

Rub the cotton swab against the back of the crystal and position back on the dress. Repeat the process on each of the crystals. Glue each of the crystals onto the dress and use the tweezers to position the crystal onto the fabric.

Check each of the crystals to ensure that the baubles are glued in place. Try moving the crystals with your finger and glue down any you forgot. Once the glue dries, slowly lift the dress and shake it slightly, making sure that all of the pieces stay in place.
