How to Remove a Hose From a Dyson and a Hoover

Taking good care of your Dyson or Hoover vacuum involves checking the machine for blockages and clearing them. Without doing this, your machine could become clogged, which will render the machine useless and could burn out the motor. Prevent this by checked for clogs every few months. To do this you will need to remove the hose from the vacuum. While every machine will differ slightly, you will be able to remove most Hoover vacuums and Dyson vacuums in a simple way.

Instructions

      Turn off the machine and unplug it.

      Grasp the end of the hose where it attaches to the Hoover machine.

      Twist the hose so that the tabs on the hose are parallel with the slit on the Hoover.

      Pull the hose from the machine.

    Dyson

    • 5

      Turn off the machine and unplug it.

    • 6

      Grasp the area where the hose attaches to the vacuum.

    • 7

      Press the release button. The release button is yellow on most Dyson machines.

      Pull the hose from the machine.
