The Peugeot 307 is a French vehicle manufactured by Peugeot from 2001 to 2008. The 307 was the successor to the 306. If you wish to access the radio or instrument panel of the Peugeot 307, you will need to remove the 307's dashboard which is held in place by many screws and bolts. Removing the dash is a lengthy process that can take up to six hours.
Things You'll Need
- Socket wrench
- Torx screwdriver
- Slotted screwdriver
Park the 307 and turn off the engine. Pull the hood release switch and lift the hood. Use a socket wrench to disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
Remove the two screws at the bottom of the center console with a Torx screwdriver. Remove the two bolts at the bottom of the center console with a socket wrench. Use a slotted screwdriver to remove the ashtray and remove the two screws underneath the ashtray using a Torx screwdriver. Uninstall the two nuts under the gear-shifter using a socket wrench.
Uninstall the three screws and nuts from the center faceplate and remove it. Pry out the stereo with a slotted screwdriver and disconnect its wiring harness. Pry off the steering wheel covers with a slotted screwdriver.
Remove the steering wheel cover by unfastening its two Torx screws and pull it off. Disconnect the airbag wiring harness and pull the airbag out of the vehicle. Use a socket wrench to uninstall the bolt securing the steering wheel to the steering column and remove it from the vehicle.
Uninstall the two side bolts on both side panels and the four bolts along the top of the dashboard with a socket wrench. Disconnect the three wiring harnesses between the dashboard and the vehicle and lift off the dashboard.
