How to Create Elementary Digital Graphic Novels
Graphic novels are essentially longer, better bound comic books. They have become increasingly popular in recent decades. Not surprisingly, with the growth of digital publishing formats, some people are choosing to creating graphic novels in a digital format. You might have thought that producing your own graphic novel filled with superheroes, villains and monsters would require you to have the ability to draw, ink and color your own comic book panels. However, there are several programs that let you create your comics entirely on the computer.

Poser

Go to sites such as Daz 3D, Animotions and Renderosity and download the models, figures, props and costumes you need. They need to be in Poser format. Click on them to install them to the Poser application.

Start Poser. Delete the default figure in the scene. Go to the library on the right and choose a figure to add to the scene. Then add any clothing, scenery or props for the figure from the library.

Use the "Parameter Dials" to pose the figure the way you want it in your first panel. Select "Render" from the menu and choose "Render."

Select "File" from the menu and choose "Export." Select "Image" and save it as a JPEG.

Repeat this process for your other panels.
Daz Studio

Go to sites such as Daz 3D, Animotions and Renderosity and download the models, figures, props and costumes you need. Install them to the Daz Studio application. They need to be in Daz Studio format. Click on them to install them to the Daz Studio application.

Start Daz Studio. Delete the default figure in the scene. Go to the library on the left and choose a figure to add to the scene. Then add any clothing, scenery or props for the figure from the library.

Click on the "Pose" tab and use the "Parameter Dials" to pose the figure the way you want it in your first panel. Click on the "Render" tab. Choose your render settings and click "Render."

Select "File" from the menu and choose "Save Last Render." Save your render as a JPEG.

Repeat this process for your other panels.
Vue Infinite

Go to sites such as Daz 3D, Animotions and Renderosity and download the models, figures, props and costumes you need. Install them to the Poser application. They need to be in Poser format. Click on them to install them to the Poser application. Then create and save a clothed figure as a Poser file.

Start Vue Infinite.

Select "File" from the menu and click "Import." Locate the model and open it. Use the manipulators that appear around the model to position it in the view.

Click on the "Render" button at the top. Click "CTRL" and "F8" on your keyboard. In the dialog that opens, save your image as a JPEG.
