How to Remove MetaCrawler Search Engine History

MetaCrawler is a search engine that uses a mix of the most common results from Google, Bing, Yahoo and other popular search engines to give the user a wide array of results for any given search. If you type in a search term, MetaCrawler will "crawl" the most popular search sites for the highest rated matches. Similar to other search engines, MetaCrawler will save your search history. To remove your search engine history, you will need to delete it manually.

Instructions

    • 1

Open your Internet browser, such as Internet Explorer or Firefox. Visit MetaCrawler and search like you normally would.

    • 2

Hit the "Clear All" link on the browser page to delete your MetaCrawler searches after you are finished browsing.

    • 3

Click "Preferences" on the MetaCrawler homepage and then click "Recent Searches." Check the "Recent Searches Off" box to keep MetaCrawler from keeping a record of your search engine history in the future.
