Instructions for Crocheting a Scarf With Fun Fur
A scarf is an ideal project for someone who is new to crochet as well as for crochet veterans. A scarf works up quickly and easily, using a minimal amount of yarn. Fun fur gives a simple scarf a glamorous, feather-boa look with the furry, fluffy texture of the yarn. Fun fur, and other brands of synthetic eyelash yarn are found at craft stores and online in a wide variety of colors.

1
Choose the color yarn. You will need four skeins or about 260 yards of yarn. You will work holding two strands together as one throughout, so you can combine two colors or just use one color. Match your dye lots for color consistency.
-
2
Chain nine stitches, with two strands of yarn held together, using a size P crochet hook.
-
-
3
Double crochet in the chain that is fourth from your hook and in each chain across the row, then turn your work. You should have seven stitches. This is considered row one.
-
4
Chain three stitches. After skipping the first double crochet, double crochet in every stitch across the row and then turn your work. This completes row two.
-
5
Repeat row two until your scarf measures about 60 inches from the beginning. You can also just keep crocheting until you run out of yarn.
-
6
Fasten off your stitches and weave the ends of yarn into the stitches to hide the tails.

Tips & Warnings
Fun fur is an eyelash novelty yarn made by Lion Brand. There are many different brands of eyelash yarn that can be used for the same project.
For a thicker, warmer scarf, add a strand of worsted-weight yarn in a coordinating color and hold together with the fun fur strands while crocheting.
