How to Use a Casie CE 2400 Cash Register
Knowing how to use the Casio CE 2400 cash register can make the difference between running your store with ease and not being able to ring up customers. The Casio CD 2400 register is manual, so you will have to press the digits on the keyboard to input prices, set up taxes and print receipts. Switch the cash register's button to "REG," then remove the cash register's printer cover. Use scissors to cut off the end of the new roll of printing paper, then place the roll into its exposed slot. Make sure that the paper is being fed through the bottom, or counter-clockwise. Pull the paper up through the printer, press the "Journal Feed" button and tear off the excess paper.

Program the cash register's date and time. Press the "Date/Time" button, and type in the time. Press the "Date/Time" button again to type in the date. Press the button a third time to get back to the main menu.

Program the cash register's tax percentage. Switch the cash register's button to "Z", then press the "1" and "NS" buttons. Enter the shopping tax that is specific to your state. For example, if the tax percentage is "5.75," enter: "5," ".", "7" and "5", then press the "NS" button to complete the tax percentage. Check the Tax Administration website (see Resources) to check your city or state's tax percentage.

Switch the cash register button to "Z," then press "Sub Total." Press "1" and "PLU/S.Dept" button, then press "0," "1," "1" and "1" to use the tax table that was set up in Step 4.

Ring up the customer with the digits on the cash register. With every item, you must press in the exact number of the sticker price. For example, if the price of the item is: $19.54, press: "1," "9," "5" and "4." If the price is $40, press: "4," "0" and "00."

Press the "PLU/S.Dept" button to add a tax percentage to the price.

Add more items by using the methods in Step 5 and 6. Press the "CA/AMT Tend" button to finish ringing up the customer's items. Tear off the receipt to complete the transaction.
