How to Make Trick Box Crafts
If you enjoy watching magic shows, you can try your hand at performing magic tricks at home using a few basic items that can be found around the house or purchased from a craft supply store. For example, you can make a magic trick box using an ordinary match box that can make it appear as if you can cut the box of matches in half using only a playing card.
Instructions

1
Take a matchbox apart and cut three slits into the inside tray, spacing the cuts into thirds. Do not cut though the bottom of the tray, simply cut down the sides.
-
2
Insert a piece of card stock into each slit to effectively divide the tray into thirds.
-
-
3
Cut 10 to 15 matches into thirds, and discard the middle sections.
-
4
Glue the tips of the matches into one side of the tray by gluing the cut ends of the match tips to the card stock piece that separates the sections.
-
5
Glue the bottoms of the matches into the opposite side of the tray by gluing the cut ends of the match bottoms to the card stock piece that separates the sections.
-
6
Insert the tray back into the match box.
-
7
Cut a slit down through the middle of the box into the center section of the tray. Yo can pretend to cut the match box with the card, then open the match box back and forth to show that you "cut" the matches in half. The card will prevent the tray from opening up too far to reveal the cut matches inside.
