How to Remove the Dash From an Infiniti G20

The Infiniti G20 is considered a mid-size semi-luxury sedan. There are times when you may need to access the electronics behind the dash. You can remove the dashboard from your Infiniti G20 using just a few tools obtained from any hardware or auto parts store. This job requires no mechanical experience, and you should be able to remove the dash in about an hour and a half. To avoid damage to the interior of the Infiniti, ask a friend to help you maneuver the dash out the passenger's door.

Things You'll Need

  • Remove the radio's faceplate by unscrewing the screws holding it in place. Pull the radio forward and unplug the electrical connectors behind it.

  • Pull the dash forward and unplug the electrical connectors behind it.

  • Lift up on the dash and slide it out the passenger's side door as your friend helps to pull it out from outside the car.
