Put whitening toothpaste on your toothbrush. Brush teeth for two to three minutes to get them really clean. Rinse your mouth thoroughly. Use whitening toothpaste in place of your regular toothpaste or alternate the two. Most whitening toothpastes contain hydrogen peroxide, a known bleaching agent. These toothpastes have a concentration of hydrogen peroxide ranging from 5 percent to 25 percent.

Apply whitening strips to the teeth. These strips are very thin pieces of paper with a bleaching agent and adhesive on them. They stay on the upper and lower teeth and whiten both the natural and porcelain teeth. Most brands of whitening strips require you to leave them on for one to two hours every day for one to two weeks. Some strips allow you to eat and drink while wearing them.

Apply a brush-on whitening gel to the porcelain teeth. The gel comes in a small bottle with a tiny brush, like that used for nail polish. You paint the gel on each tooth. Although this is time-consuming, if you have a lot of porcelain teeth, the gel does offer bleaching of stained teeth. There are many brush-on gels on the market. The gel usually stays on for up to one hour. Brush your teeth as usual to remove the gel.
