How to Wash Fake Hair
Fake hair is often used to make wigs or hairpieces. There are many reasons why a person may wear fake hair. Some may be suffering from hair loss: While others may simply enjoy wearing a variety of hairstyles. Whatever the reason, the fake hair needs to be maintained, so that it looks good when worn. Brush the fake hair with a wig brush to remove all tangles.

Fill a sink with cold water. Add one tablespoon of wig shampoo.

Submerge the fake hair in the cold water.

Swish the wig around for a few minutes to get it clean.

Drain the sink and refill it with cold water.

Dip the fake hair in and out of the cold water to remove the shampoo.

Repeat Steps 5 and 6 to rinse the fake hair completely.

Blot the wet hair with a towel to absorb the excess water.

Spray a wig conditioner on the fake hair, from one foot away.

Place fake hair on wig stand or form. Let it air dry naturally.
