Donate Textbooks with Free Shipping

In many cases after using a textbook for a class, the textbook has no use or value to you. Many people choose to sell their used textbooks, but it is also possible to donate your used textbooks to children and adults in need. Several organizations including Better World Books, Goodwill and the International Book Project accept donations of used textbooks and either offer free shipping options for your textbooks or will reimburse your shipping costs.

Instructions

    • 1

Open a web browser on your computer and go to the Better World Books buyback web page (See Resources). Enter the ISBN number for the textbook in the text box located on the right side of the web page. Your ISBN number is found on the back of your textbook or on the title page near the copyright information for the textbook. Click the "Price My Books" link. Select the option to donate your book. Follow the link to download a prepaid shipping label to send your textbook donation to Better World Books. Better World Books only accepts certain textbooks and will indicate on the ISBN search page if your book is not needed.
