How to Display Photographs on Easels for a Graduation Party

Choose a photograph that has the graduate as the focal point.

Decorating for a graduation party is all about celebrating the graduate and their accomplishments, and your decorations should reflect the "person of honor" theme. Displaying large pictures of the graduate is a simple way to honor the graduate and draw attention to them. Get photographs of your graduate turned into posters at your local photo processing center, or create the poster yourself using a graphics editing program and a home printer. Regardless of how you make the poster, it's sure to be the centerpiece of your event.

Instructions

1. Find a photograph to display that has the graduate as the focal point of the pictures in their graduation robes or formal clothing.

2. Contact a local photo printing and processing company that offers poster services, such as Office Depot. Know the exact dimensions you want for your poster before ordering.

3. Print out your photo poster at home, if you'd rather not go to a copy center. Scan the photograph into your computer, then use a graphics editing program to enlarge the photo over several sheets of paper. Use a web service such as Block Poster if you don't have a graphics editing program. Print the final product out, then reassemble it on a sheet of foam board with tape or glue.

4. Rent, borrow, or purchase an easel for photo display. Check your local office supply store for an inexpensive aluminum easel that will work for your purposes.

5. Add a twist to the classic photo display by turning it into an autograph and memory board. Ask guests at the party to write their name and a short message to the graduate on the photo poster to create a lasting souvenir of their accomplishment.

Tips & Warnings

• Photo display easels don't need to be particularly high quality, so avoid paying top dollar for an artist's easel at an art supply store.

• Many high schools require a formal picture of the graduate for their yearbook, which can double as your easel photo.
