Instructions

1. Open your Internet browser and navigate to the Miva Merchant website. The Miva Merchant site contains information about the store packages available, contact information for technical support and available patch updates for existing Miva Merchant clients.

2. Click the "See Plans and Pricing" button to get started with an account. If you want to sell your tickets online with Miva Merchant, you must choose the type of account you want for your store. As of 2011, there are four store types available for business owners: "Boutique," "Marketplace," "Warehouse" and "Dedicated Server." Each plan comes with web space, a domain name, email addresses, product hosting and a certain amount of bandwidth. If your ticket business will sell under 1,000 items per month, consider using the "Boutique" plan.

3. Press "Sign Up" at the bottom of your plan of choice. On the next screen, enter your contact information and payment details. As of 2011, Miva Merchant accepts Visa, Master Card, American Express, Discover and PayPal. Miva Market will bill your credit card automatically on a monthly basis. You can cancel your account at any time.

4. Create a website or use a web developer to build a website for you. Miva Merchant provides the domain name, domain space and e-commerce software for your ticket business, but you will still need a website in which to place the Miva Merchant software. There are do-it-yourself website design tools, such as Adobe Dreamweaver and Microsoft Frontpage, that can help you develop your site. Miva Merchant also offers website design for a variable fee.

5. Use the login and password information provided to you by Miva Merchant to upload your complete website. Miva Merchant provides information about how to upload your business website files to their servers. Once your site is loaded, use the instruction guide provided by Miva Merchant to insert the e-commerce software code into your website.

6. Take pictures of your tickets and upload them to your site's Miva Merchant shopping cart. You will have a chance to write a description for each ticket, set a price and create shipping options for your clients.
