How to Get HP Smart Array RAID Controller Alerts Through VMware ESX
HP's Smart Array RAID, or redundant array of disks, controller sends system alerts when there's a problem with any disks in the controller. If you're running VMware's ESX virtualization system on a server with an HP Smart Array, you won't receive RAID controller alerts until you install HP's Management Agents for VMware ESX on the VMware ESX system. After installation, HP Management Agents provides a Web page you can access over the network to monitor the HP Smart Array RAID Controller's alerts.
