How to Identify an Arcade Cabinet
It used to be that every town had an arcade where all teenagers would congregate to play games like "Pac-Man," "Galaga" and "Mortal Kombat." Now that console video games have more power and can perform more functions, arcade machines are not as popular as they once were. If you are looking for an arcade cabinet---the wooden housing in which the game's electronics were store---there are a few ways to determine if it was for an arcade game or not.

1
Look for video game artwork decorating the cabinet. Arcade cabinets were plastered with full-size advertisements for the game inside the cabinet.
-
2
Check for a screen inside the cabinet, or if the cabinet has a large rectangular area where a screen would have been. An arcade needs a monitor to display the screen.

Look for joysticks and buttons on the cabinet's console. If there are no joystick or buttons on the console, look for holes where they would have been.
