Parental locks help you keep your kids' viewing options in order even while away from the house. Unfortunately, a forgotten parental lock code can keep you from watching many of the TV shows you enjoy. To reset the parental locks, call your service provider.
Things You'll Need
- Account information
Locate a bill with your account information and, to prove yourself as a parent when contacting your cable service provider, have some identification, such as your driver's license, at the ready.
Call the number of your dish provider and follow the automated instructions to guide you to the department you need.
Inform the representative that you forgot your parental code and need to have it reset. The representative will ask you qualifying questions to ensure you are in fact the parent. After answering these questions, your parental code will be reset for you.
