Instructions

    • 1

Place five pieces of tissue or crepe paper on top of each other. You can choose to use all the same color or multiple colors for the flower.

    • 2

Trace an 8 inch by 10 inch rectangle on the top piece of crepe paper, using a pencil and ruler to create the marks.

    • 3

Cut all five pieces of crepe or tissue paper at once in the shape of the rectangle on the top of the stack.

    • 4

Fold one of the 8-inch ends of the rectangle up 1 inch to create a long rectangle shape. Turn the stack over and fold the same end up 1 more inch. Continue with the pattern until the entire stack is folded into a single 1 inch by 10 inch rectangle.

    • 5

Wrap a pipe cleaner around the center of the rectangle shape and twist it tight to secure.

    • 6

Form the petals of the flower by using your fingers to pull the folded paper pieces up and around the center that is secured with the pipe cleaner. Pull the petals into position according to your liking.
