1
Inspect the area of the scalp where the hair is falling out. Look for signs of isolated causes such as sunburned scalp, eczema pockets or chemical root damage.
-
2
Apply skin moistening shampoo twice a day to fight isolated incidents. Continue checking the area for several days to search for improvements to hair growth.

-
3
Change eating and exercising habits if the hair loss is not an isolated incident. Note that hair loss is mostly genetic but the effects can be slowed by healthy diet and exercise regiment. Eat foods that are high in vitamin K to encourage hair growth.

Use hair dye to control the spread of grey hair. Wet hair thoroughly. Put protective plastic gloves on hands. Use the hair dye applicator to apply a liberal amount of dye.

5
Apply a heavier concentration on the grayest areas. Leave the dye in for at least 10 minutes (follow all directions on packaging), but rinse out immediately if the dye makes your scalp feel uncomfortable or hot.

Rinse out completely after the hour and dry hair with a towel. Repeat every six weeks as necessary to combat the effects of grey hair.
