Digital picture frames are equipped with internal memory for storing your digital pictures. Digital picture frames do not come with disc readers, but getting the pictures from a CD to the memory in your picture frame is easy with the use of a computer and only takes a couple minutes to complete.

      Turn the computer on and let it load. Open the CD tray, insert the picture CD and then close the tray.

      Plug one end of the USB (universal serial bus) cable into the picture frame and the other end to the computer. The two ends of the cable may be different sizes and shapes. Generally the larger end of the cable is a standard USB connection and plugs into the computer and the smaller end plugs into the picture frame.

      Open the CD and picture frame windows on the computer. Select the pictures you want from the CD window by holding down the "Control" button on the keyboard and clicking the left mouse button over each desired picture. Click the right mouse button over one of the highlighted pictures and select "Copy." Go to the picture frame window and click the right mouse button and select "Paste." The pictures then copy to the picture frame.
