How to Make Pictures Glow
Changing the lighting of your digital pictures to create a softening glow-effect will have people asking which photography studio snapped your photographs. Adding a glow-effect to your pictures will create a highly presentable image to add to your photograph repertoire of digital photo frames and albums. Use Photoshop software to create a professional-quality glow-effect in only a few minutes.

Open your Photoshop software. To choose your picture image and begin applying effects, navigate to the main menu and click "File" and then "Open." Browse your computer to find the picture and click "OK" to open the image and display it on Photoshop's main screen.

Navigate to "Images" and then "Adjustments" and choose "Brightness/Contrast" from the menu. Adjust the brightness to 50%. Skip this step if your picture is over-exposed.

Add layers to your picture by clicking on "Layers" and then "Duplicate Layers" from the menu at the top. Click "OK" inside the pop-up box.

Click "Filter," "Blur" and then "Gaussian Blur." Change the "Radius" to 25 pixels.

Locate the box with the name "Normal" under "Layers." Click on the box "Normal" and scroll down and click "Multiply."

Choose "File" and then "Save" from the main menu to save your glow-effect picture to your hard drive.
