Military uniforms have been worn by servicemen on and off the battlefield since the beginning of organized military. The dress code of uniforms are strict and servicemen must follow certain guidelines, even on minute details such as rolling up a military uniform sleeve. If you find yourself in extreme heat in combat or in training, knowing how to roll the sleeves of your military uniform correctly can save you from heat-related injuries.

      Undo all the buttons on the sleeves of the military uniform and lay the uniform on a flat service.

      Flip the sleeves inside-out by folding the cuffs of the sleeve up towards the armpit area. Pull it up until it almost touches the inside seam of the armpit region.

      Roll the bottoms of the inside-out sleeves two or three inches upwards until you reach the cuffs.

      Roll the cuffs until they cover the rolled sleeves. Button the cuffs and you're ready to go. Make sure none of the colors from inside the sleeves are visible.
