Children enjoy playing in sandboxes to build backyard sand castles and towers. One way to make the sandbox even more exciting is by making the sand glow in the dark. When children play in glow in the dark sand as the sun goes down, they can feel as if they are on another planet when the sand begins to glow. You can transform ordinary sand into glow in the dark sand by mixing it with glow in the dark powder.
Things You'll Need
- Medium to fine grain sand
- Glow in the dark powder
- Glass mason jar
Place a funnel into the opening of a glass mason jar.
Pour 2 cups of medium to fine grain sand into the glass mason jar through the funnel.
Pour 1 cup of glow in the dark powder into the glass jar through the funnel.
