How to Troubleshoot a Car Alarm Code

Car alarms are common features on vehicles of all different makes, models and years. Car alarms, like automatic starters and keyless entry systems, are controlled by wireless remotes that can be added to your keychain. You can troubleshoot and sync your car alarm remote code in just seconds from your driver's seat, and have the remote ready to use right away.

Instructions

1. Enter your car with your alarm remote and your car's key.

2. Insert the key into the ignition and turn the key to the "ACC" position.

3. Press and release the "Valet" button on your remote, wait for a chime to sound from the alarm and then press and hold the "Valet" button.

4. Press the alarm button on the remote while holding the "Valet" button and hold both until the alarm system chimes again.

5. Release both at the same time and then remove the key from the ignition to complete the coding and troubleshooting.
