How to Convert Photographic Slides to a CD
You can convert photographic slides to a CD using your computer to burn the slides onto a data CD. You simply need a scanner to convert the photographic slides into a digital format that can be stored on CDs. CDs are very useful for storing photographic slides because of their high storage capacity of 700 megabytes per CD.

Use a scanner to save digital images of your photographic slides onto your computer. Save your photographic slides in a compressed format, such as JPEG, in order to fit more photographic slides onto one CD.

Click on "Finder" icon in your toolbar and then click "File," "New Burn Folder."

Name the burn folder after the photographic slides you are converting to CD.

Double-click this burn folder to open it.

Drag the digital images of your photographic slides you created into this burn folder.

Click "Burn" and insert a blank CD-R (CD Recordable) into your computer.

Eject the CD-R when your computer is finished burning the photographic slides to the CD.

Click the option labeled "Burn Files to Data Disc" from the pop-up window that appears after inserting the CD into your computer.

Click the "Mastered" formatting setting and click "Next" to confirm this choice.

Drag the digital images of your photographic slides you created into the burn folder that appears.

Click "Burn to Disc."
