RC24914d Remote Programming Directions

There are specific instructions to follow if you own an RC24914d remote control and are unsure of how to program it. The RC24914d remote, made by General Electric, can be used on many different television sets and is considered to be a universal remote control. It performs all of the basic functions of your typical remote, including changing channels, adjusting volume and accessing the television's menu.

Instructions

1. Press the "Power" button at the top of the remote to initiate the programming process. Turn the television on and have it turned to channel 3.

2. Locate the code for your particular television by finding it in the provided manual. The code will be either four or five digits and will be brand/model specific.

3. Press the "Program" button on the remote and enter in the programming code using the numbered buttons on the remote. Press the "Enter" button to indicate that the code is complete. The remote will begin the programming process, and when complete, will beep twice to indicate completion. The programming process should only take 5-10 seconds.
