Schlage Double Keyed Deadbolt Installation
Schlage makes a variety of home safety products including double keyed deadbolt locks. These locks are used for home doors and compliment the door lock already mounted. The locks are mounted to doors with the dual deadbolt mounts. Schlage claims the deadbolts can be installed within 30 minutes using a Phillips screwdriver. Set out all the pieces of the Schlage deadbolt kit. Pry the door plate mounts off the end of the deadbolt lock. Pull the lock plate off the barrel and turn the barrel 90 degrees.

Pinch the mount cylinder and push into the door deadbolt hole above the existing door handle. Keep the word "top" facing up inside the circle. Push the full lock barrel and cylinder into the side of the door at the deadbolt hole. Screw the plate onto the top of the deadbolt barrel.

Insert the circle screws into the pinched cylinder in the door mount and screw the lock to the metal cylinder. Push the lock mechanism over the circle so the semicircle on the door cylinder is aligned to the flat lock mechanism in the lock casing.

Screw the lock casing to the door using the internal circle mount. Place the lock outer casing over the screwed-in and secured plate. Turn the casing until it locks and pops into place.

Insert the key in the deadbolt and turn to engage the lock and push the deadbolt out to test the lock.
