1
Place painter's or masking tape over the drawer face in the location where you want to mount your drawer pull. Using the tape gives you something to write on, and also protects the front of the drawer.
-
2
Measure the width of the drawer front. Locate the midway point of the drawer width measurement and mark this point on the tape. Measure the height of the drawer front and mark the midway point of the drawer height on the tape. The intersection of these two measurements marks the center of the drawer front.

3
Drill a 3/16-inch hole through the drawer face at the center mark, using a 3/16-inch wood drill bit for a single knob pull. Pull the tape from the drawer face. Insert the screw that came with the drawer pull knob through the hole from the back of the drawer face. Twist the knob onto the screw clockwise. Secure the knob by holding the knob and using a screwdriver to tighten it.

4
Measure the width of a handle drawer pull. Divide this measurement in half to determine the distance from the center mark to place your holes. Mark the location of the two holes on the tape. Use a level to confirm the two marks are level.

5
Drill 3/16-inch holes through the face at both marked locations, using the wood drill bit. Remove the tape from the drawer face. Feed the drawer pull screws through the back of the drawer. Place the pull onto the screws and tighten the screws to hold the pull to the drawer.
