How to Send an Obituary to APP

Obituaries are published daily in the Asbury Park Press.

The Asbury Park Press publishes obituaries or "In Remembrances" on a daily basis. Obituaries must be requested six days prior to the date of desired publication. They cost between $102 and $300, payable by credit card, depending on the length of the message and whether or not it is published on a Sunday.

Instructions

1. Access the APP "In Remembrances" submission form. This form is available for download on the APP website.

2. Complete the form. You will need to provide personal information, including name, address, phone number and email, along with the name of the person being remembered and desired date of publication.

3. Decide on a word count and circle the desired number of words and date of publication for the obituary. The table of prices is available on the submission form.

4. Mail or email the form, along with a photograph if you would like to have one published, to the address indicated on the form. You will be contacted to review a proof prior to publication.
