How to Restore Brass Fixtures
When clean and polished, brass fixtures, such as faucets, light fixtures and door handles have a soft, golden glow. Over time, though, brass becomes dull and grimy. Water, and even moisture in the air, may cause oxidation in the form of green or black tarnish. Once you've restored brass fixtures, clean them weekly with an ammonia-based cleaner. Dry faucet handles thoroughly after use so water spots don't develop. Does this Spark an idea?
