How to Find Out What Port Your Xbox Is Using
If you have your XBox connected to the Internet, the correct web ports need to be open for it to work. Some Internet Service Providers open the ports automatically; others do not. To open the ports you need to first know what they are. There are several to choose from, and through elimination you can figure out which ports your machine is using.

1
Connect your computer to the Internet and open your Web browser.
-
2
Go to your Internet configuration page. The address for this differs by service provider, so you might have to check yours. It will be a string of numbers. One common address is "http://192.168.1.1"
-
-
3
Enter your user name and password. The default for both is almost always "admin."
-
4
Go to the section marked "Ports" or "Port Forwarding."
-
5
Add the following ports. You will have to type in the number and then select what type of connection it is (UDB, TCP, or both). These are the four possible ports.
Port 88 (UDP)
Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)
Port 53 (UDP and TCP)
Port 80 (TCP)
-
6
Click the "Save" button or link.
-
7
Turn on your XBox. It should now connect to the Internet. If this is all you needed to do, you're all set. If you want to find out exactly what port(s) the device is using, continue.
-
8
Return to your computer and delete one of the ports you created. Click "Save."
-
9
Test the XBox connection. If it still works, the XBox was not using the port you just disabled.
-
10
Repeat for all four ports. When the XBox can no longer connect, the most recently disabled port was the one being used. Be sure to test all four ports, since the device could be using more than one.
