How to Add Songs to Guitar Hero 2 for PS2
Guitar Hero 2 for the PlayStation 2 (PS2) is a video game in which users play along to various songs using a guitar controller. The game comes with a number of preloaded songs, but gamers in search of new challenges may want more options. It is possible to add songs of your own to Guitar Hero 2 for PS2 in just a few steps.

Create a new folder on your computer's desktop, and title it "Guitar Hero."

Add songs from your computer to this folder, either by dragging and dropping or copying and pasting them.

Insert the "Guitar Hero 2" game disc into your computer's disc drive.

Navigate to "My Computer," and double-click on the "Guitar Hero 2" icon. Highlight all files, and drag them into the "Guitar Hero" folder on your desktop.

Double-click on the folder titled "MAIN.HDR."

Select "Guitar Hero Explorer" and then "Add Archive."

Select song files you wish to add with the .mid extension in the new "Scorehero" window. Click "Save," and save them to your desktop.

Find a song already on the game that you wish to replace in the "Guitar Hero Explorer" window, right-click it, and select one of the .mid files from your desktop. Click "OK."

Right-click on the .vgs version of the newly uploaded song, and choose "Import." Select "Add." Repeat until each new song has been added.

Place a blank DVD in your computer's disc drive.

Open your DVD burning program, and start a new burn list.

Copy and paste the new song files from the "Guitar Hero Explorer" folder to the burn list.

Name the new disc SLUS 21447. Type "PlayStation 2" next to "Producer Name," and select "Export .iml File."

Click on "Create ISO from IML."

Click "Burn" to create the DVD.
