How to Make Daisy Chain Necklaces & Patterns
A daisy chain pattern is a necklace and bracelet design made with colorful seed beads. The beaded daisy chain pattern is made up of a row of daisy-style flowers that are linked together. The color of seed beads that you select has a direct bearing on the pattern of your necklace. Alter the bead colors for each successive flower to make a rainbow daisy necklace, or keep the colors of the flowers uniform to create a standard daisy chain. Select high-quality seed beads so that the sizes are also uniform within the daisy design.

1
Cut a 3-foot-long strip of beading thread. Insert one end of the thread through the eye of a size 10 beading needle. Pull the thread 8 inches through the eye. The 8-inch strip is the tail that becomes the working thread as you make the daisy chain.
-
2
Slide a green size 11 seed bead to within 4 inches of the end of the working thread. Anchor the bead by passing the needle through it three times, pulling the thread taut each time.

-
3
Slide two green size 11 seed beads over the thread to rest against the anchor bead. Slide eight size 11 seed beads the desired color of the first daisy flower over the needle to rest against the last green bead added.
-
4
Pass the needle through the first size 11 flower bead added. Pull the thread taut to form a circle. The green beads form the stem for the daisy chain necklace.
-
5
Slide a size 8 seed bead to the circle. Select a color of size 8 bead that coordinates with the daisy petal color for this flower. Pass the needle through the fifth size 11 flower petal bead added. Pull the thread taut to anchor the size 8 bead in the center of the circle.
-
6
Repeat steps 3, 4 and 5 to complete the length of the daisy chain necklace. Alter the pattern of the necklace by using different colors of flower petal beads and different colors of center beads. You can also alter the pattern by using the same color of flower beads, but a different center bead, or vice versa.
-
7
End the length of daisy chain with three green size 11 seed beads to form the last stem. Pass the needle through one section of a necklace clasp. Reinsert the needle back through the last three stem beads. Weave the needle and thread through the length of the daisy chain, passing through the size 11 seed beads on each side of the center beads and through the center beads. Exit the anchor bead.
-
8
Pick up the second section of necklace clasp. Reinsert the needle back through the first stem, around the first daisy flower and then back through the first stem. Knot the thread and cut the excess. Cover the knot with jeweler's glue.
