Instructions

    • 1

Disconnect the vehicle's battery to initiate the installation process. With the use of a wrench, unbolt the three bolts that attach the front bumper to the vehicle. Also, remove the bolts that connect the outer bumper. Set these bolts aside, since they will not be used during installation.

    • 2

Slacken the bolts connecting the support brackets to the bumper with a wrench, but do not remove bolts.

    • 3

Place the clevis frame to the interior of the vehicle's frame. Align bumper and bumper support brackets with the inside of clevis frame. Using a wrench, connect bumper support brackets to the vehicle frame with 7/16-by-1 1/4-inch bolts and flat washers.

    • 4

Drill two 13/16-inch holes into the clevis support bracket with a power drill, ensuring beforehand that the support bracket is alongside the front crossmember. Detach the plastic plugs from the crossmember. This will allow you to install the special bolt through the crossmember and clevis support bracket.

    • 5

Secure installation with 3/4-10 lock nuts. Replace the plastic plugs in the vehicle crossmember. Push the clevis frame as far back as possible under the vehicle and tighten the fasteners and bolts to their original positions with a wrench.

    • 6

Grease the ends of the lift frame using a grease gun with chassis grease. Attach a lift frame to the tubes on clevis frame with hinge pins and hairpin cotters.

    • 7

Set up lights, leaving enough space behind them for the vehicle hood to open. The light installation must comply with federal regulations.

    • 8

      Configure plow light wiring.

    • 9

Connect lift arm to lift frame with a 5/8-11-by-3 1/4-inch bolt and lock nut. Attach plow unit to lift frame with a 5/8-11-by-3 1/4-inch bolt and lock nut and to lift arm with a 5/8-11-by-2 3/4-inch bolt and locknut.

    • 10

      Assemble moldboard assembly.
