How to Adjust the Trunnion on a Craftsman Table Saw
Adjust the trunnion on your Craftsman saw when the blade is not aligned to the miter slot. This commonly occurs when you first assemble your hybrid saw or when replacing the blade. The trunnion holds the arbor assembly and motor saw in place. It plays an important role because it controls the alignment of the blade and the miter slot of the Craftsman saw, and helps absorb vibration from the blade and motor by transferring it to the saw's base and the table. Does this Spark an idea?

Tips & Warnings
Try the saw and if it needs more adjustment, repeat Steps 1 through 5 until perfect alignment of the blade and miter slot is achieved. Go back and forth as needed. You can also follow the same exact steps but loosen one bolt just a little bit at a time to maintain even pressure and not shift the alignment entirely while you are working on each of the bolts.
