How to Test Kecepatan on the Internet
Kecepatan is the Indonesian word for "speed." It is often necessary to measure the speed of a connection to the Internet. At slow connection speeds, not only will some applications work too slowly, but others, such as Skype and streaming video, may not work at all. Because there are many intermediate servers and networks between an end user and Internet servers, the best tests measure end-to-end speed between the two endpoints of the connection. You can easily do that by using any of the following three free speed test Web services.

1
Navigate to the "Speed Test" Web page with a Web browser. Make sure the animation within the central gray rectangle is working.

2
Choose one of the eight available cities in the United States by clicking it. The speed test will take a couple of minutes. At the end, the Flash application will display the average upload and download speeds it measured.

-
3
Repeat Step 2 for a different city. If the results are not within 10 percent of each other, average them. The average will be a good figure for the usable speed of your connection to the Internet.
