How to Send Cell Phones to GIs

How to Send Cell Phones to GIs thumbnail
Donating your cell phone will benefit the members of the U.S. military.

If you have an old cell phone lying around that you do not want to throw away or recycle, consider donating it to a GI. A GI is another name for a member of the U.S. military. Donating your old cell phone will provide a soldier with a way to call home and stay in touch with family and friends. Even if your phone does not work, you can still send it to the organization Cell Phones for Soldiers. If the phone does not work, it will recycle it and the proceeds will go to purchasing calling cards for the soldiers to use. So either way, your old cell phone will benefit GIs.
