Accidentally deleting a Wii Mii can be disastrous for a serious gamer. Aside from being your avatar, your Mii is also associated with much of your saved game content. There is, however, a way to recover your Mii. First, you must back it up to a Wii Remote control. Afterward, you can transfer it to any Wii console, including the one from which you deleted it. This can prevent an unfortunate situation, but requires some foresight on your part, as you cannot recover a Mii that has not been backed up to a remote.
Back up Your Mii
Turn on your Wii, and go to the "Channel" selection screen.
Select the "Mii" channel. This channel allows you to view and edit every Mii saved to the console.
Select the "Transfer Mii" option on the left-hand side.
Choose the Remote icon. This selects the Wii Remote as your backup device.
Drag and drop the Mii to one of the 10 storage slots on the screen.
Choose "Save & Quit."
