Mr.Coffee Espresso Maker Directions
The Mr. Coffee Steam Espresso and Cappuccino Maker offers users the ability to make up to four cups of their favorite coffee beverage. It features a removable water reservoir, pressure safety valve and three-way knob that makes it possible to froth and brew separately. This espresso maker is a bit more complicated to use than a traditional drip coffeemaker, so familiarize yourself with its recommended operation before attempting to use it. Does this Spark an idea?

Switch the espresso maker's knob to "Off."

Remove the unit's carafe and fill it to the marking that corresponds to the amount of espresso you wish to make. Use cold water.

Turn the cap on the machine's water reservoir counterclockwise, and remove it. Pour the measured water into the reservoir. Replace the cap and turn clockwise to tighten.

Set the Mr. Coffee filter into the espresso maker's basket. Fill with ground espresso coffee to the two or four cup line inside the filter. Tamp the espresso with the back of a spoon.

Placed the filled brew basket into the brew heat, then pull the retainer clip out and move it to the left. Once it is seated inside the groove, move it back to the right until locked.

Set the grid into the unit's drip tray. Put the lid onto the glass carafe, placing it so its opening faces the carafe's spout.

Plug the Mr. Coffee Espresso Machine into an electrical outlet. Turn the knob to the coffee cup icon to start the brewing process.

Turn the machine back off when brewing is complete. Empty, rinse and replace the brew basket once the machine has cooled completely and depressurized.

Tips & Warnings
Properly ground espresso beans will look like salt.
Never open the water reservoir or brew basket until the unit has cooled and lost pressure.
