1
Arrange a number of fresh-cut flowers in a large glass vase. White Easter lilies are a traditional choice for centerpieces, as are daffodils and tulips. Trim the stems at a 45-degree angle with a sharp pair of gardening shears and place the flowers in a vase filled with cool water.

2
Spread a tablecloth over the dining table and place a coordinating runner down the center of the table. White or cream tablecloths work well, and a runner with small flowers or pastel colors offset the tablecloth and draws attention to the table. Set the flower centerpiece in the middle of the table.

Fill each candle holder with a white candle, and place a candle at each end of the table. White candles symbolize the Divine cloud that lead the Israelites and are an important part of Easter celebrations in a number of religions around the world.

Scatter small stuffed animals and foil-wrapped chocolate eggs around the table. The toys and candy are a lighthearted touch to your Easter spread and can be given to your guests as gifts at the end of the meal.

Tips & Warnings
Adjust the size of your centerpiece to the size of your table. If your table is small, use smaller flowers to prevent the centerpiece from overwhelming the table. Keep your centerpiece below eye level, so your guests have an unobstructed view of fellow diners.
Use unscented candles to prevent disturbing guests with overpowering aromas. Light the candles before placing the food on the table.
