How to Use Foot Lockers

Whether used in the military, for camping or even for home use, foot lockers can be a great way to store personal items and supplies. Foot lockers are readily available from many camping supply stores or even military surplus stores. The styles of foot lockers can vary from model to model, but they all function pretty much the same way.

Instructions

    • 1

Open the foot locker by unlatching the clasps on the top lid. On some foot lockers the clasps will be plastic; on others they will be metal. There may be multiple clasps along three sides of the locker lid, or two on each corner of the front of the locker. Some lockers have a twist lock located on the front.

    • 2

Remove the plastic pull-outs and keep track of how the pull outs fit in the locker.

    • 3

Place personal items in the pull-outs and larger items in the open space in the locker below the pull-outs.

    • 4

Replace the pull-outs in the order you took them out, and close the locker lid. Replace the clasps.
