Amplifiers have a "Gain" switch, which adjusts the volume level.

The Audiobahn A275HCX amplifier is used in car stereo installations to provide power to the speakers. Occasionally, the unit might malfunction. This can be due to an internal error or any number of reasons. When this happens, the unit can be reset to restore its default settings. There are two ways of resetting the device and both are easy to do. If resetting the device does not work to correct the issue, other troubleshooting might be required.

Disconnect the power. Simply disconnecting the power to the unit will reset it. Remove the negative and positive connections to the amplifier from the car's battery. Ensure that this is done carefully without touching the metal. Wait for approximately a minute then reconnect the wires. This resets the amplifier.

Locate the control panel for the Audiobahn A275HCX amplifier. This control panel is where the main power source is attached. Next to the fuse, there is a small (less than 1/4 inch) red button with tiny writing above it that says, "Reset." Push in the "Reset" button using a safety pin. The button is too small to push with fingers; this is done as a precaution to keep users from accidentally resetting it.

Replace the fuse. Remove the fuse, this automatically stops the unit from receiving power. Replace the fuse with a new one. Fuses are cheap and replacing is good maintenance. If a replacement fuse can't be found, put the old one back in to restore the connection. The brief loss of power can reset the unit.
