Like many big companies, Storex tests its products before it sends them into the consumer market. But it's never a bad idea to test your office supplies yourself. With such a wide range of products, you can perform a variety of tests in the comfort of your own office space.

Filing Cabinets
-
1
Open and shut the filing cabinet. With many of these products, the best way to test them is simply to put them to use. With Storex's wide line of filing cabinets, just open and close the cabinet drawers.
-
2
Make a mental note of how smoothly the drawers open and shut so that you will notice when they are damaged.
-
-
3
Listen to the sounds of the drawers as well. If they make a high-pitched squeal when opened, lubricate the rollers with WD-40.
Other Equipment

4
Add some paper to a binder to get a feel for how much the binder can hold before becoming unstable. This is also a good way to test Storex's clipboards and folders. Do this with papers that you aren't trying to keep in order. You might find the product's breaking point and then you'll have a mess on your hands.
-
5
Drop one of Storex's pencil and card holders. These holders can be tested by putting objects in them to see the maximum number they can hold. Another way to test them is simply to drop them to the floor to see what kind of impact they can take.
-
6
Use Storex products such as envelope holders or paper trays to test their performance in regular office tasks.
